Boris Karloff as the Frankenstein Monster: my favorite Halloween character. I can hardly believe the movie was made back in 1931. Plus, Boris was also the narrator for my favorite Christmas children's cartoon, The Grinch. What a great part of pop culture, even still today.
So...since I am currently working on my Top Hat Series of drawings, I just had to draw Frankie wearing a top hat embellished with a daisy and an "Abnormal Brain" label.
Significance Of The Daisy Flower: The Frankenstein Monster encounters a farmer's young daughter, Maria. She asks him to play a game with her in which they toss flowers onto a lake. The Monster enjoys the game, but when they run out of flowers he throws Maria into the lake, where she disappears beneath the surface.
Significance Of The Abnormal Brain Label: Dr. Frankenstein sends Igor to steal the brain of a deceased "scientist and saint", Hans Delbrück; startled by his own reflection, he drops and ruins Delbrück's brain. He grabs a second brain labeled "Abnormal", and returns with it. Dr. Frankenstein therefore transplants it into the corpse, thinking he has transplanted Delbrück's brain.
“FRAGMENTATIONS” Is My Pen & Ink Pattern Art. Each piece is hand drawn and all patterns are generated by hand (not by the computer) using a black micron marker. The multitude of patterns come directly from my imagination and are randomly placed within the subject.
Each print includes a high quality black mat to accentuate the art and a protective cello sleeve. If you decide not to add a frame it can be propped up on a shelf without being framed.
The copyright watermark does not appear on the print you purchase.
